And then there was Will Wright’s Ice Cream — on the southeast corner of Beverly Drive and Charleville. That was something we really looked forward to. We’d walk there after school, get our ice cream, and pick up paper strip dot candy on the way home. Simple pleasures on the same streets where I still work today.
